A person suffering from diabetes mellitus must avoid foods which are rich in fats and cholesterol. The food must be non-greasy, easy to digest and light with plenty of fiber content. Most fruits are suitable for this category and are known for various benefits. These fruits are low in fats and rich in vitamins and nutrients and have a positive impact on unusual rise in blood sugar levels.
However, people should avoid fruit concentrates and fruit juices as they contain lot of sugar. Moreover, fruit juices don't provide any dietary fiber. Following is a list of fruits for diabetic patients.

The glycemic index and sugar content of these fruits is relatively high and hence, it is better if they stay away from these fruits. Diabetic patients must avoid fruit juices as they do not contain enough fibers and thus are useless for diabetics.
